Honeybourne miniature horses are bred and loved by Vicky and Nancy Parker.
We are situated in the lower half of the North Island of New Zealand, on State
Highway 2, just south of the small town of Dannevirke. We have just over 100
acres of flat pasture shaded by 100 year old trees -oaks, elms, and ashes.
We often joke that we have the largest shop window in New Zealand because our
horse paddocks front the main road for over half a mile, the horses are familiar
with the cars that stop to admire them. The family began breeding horses 30
years ago, striving to breed sound, free moving horses, with good sloping
shoulders, a fine head, intelligent eye and generous temperament.
We have continued with these aims while incorporating American, Argentinian
and Australian bloodlines. We have enjoyed considerable success in the show
ring with our stock, and enjoy hearing that back from our clients as they too
get great joy from their Honeybourne horses. All horses are registered with
the New Zealand Miniature Horse Association and some with the American
Miniature Horse Association.
